Academic Interests: Right now my teaching and professional interests are centered around making this one of the best residencies in Florida! I am absolutely committed to my residents and can't say enough how awesome they are. I have continued to watch as faculty, the sim center, our US program, and the residents have grown over such a short time. I love being a part of it all.

Hobbies: I love the outdoors. Right now I have three school-aged children, so pretty much whatever we can all do together outside is fun for me. Recently, I was able to whitewater down the Tuolomne River and camp for three days...that ...was...awesome.

Background: Prior to becoming involved in GME, I was a store manager for a large department store. I try to bring that level of organization to my work on the residency. The residents are like my second family and I am so proud to help them become the amazing doctors North Florida EM produces.

Academic Interests: As Medical Director of the Emergency Department, I am particularly interested in process improvement and emergency medicine administration. While working in a tertiary care center with multiple specialties has its advantages, I like to make sure that our residents can manage a whole department by themselves by the time they graduate. I am also a night shift extraordinaire!

Academic Interests: I am having a blast welcoming the residents to our family at NFRMC. We are thrilled to be "knees deep" in academics from bedside teaching to conference, from EMS to simulation and ultrasound. I also take great interest in stroke and cardiovascular care. I love our EMS experience; with Medical Direction involving urban, rural, and flight EMS continuum.

Hobbies: Sports, the outdoors, traveling to new lands, and the beach. College football is tops! Having a blast with my family including two little ones that keep my wife and I on our toes!

Hobbies:  Fun fact! I ran with the bulls in Pamplona and went cage diving with great sharks in Mexico. I love spending time with the wife and kids, traveling, and watching Gator sports.

Academic Interests: As a community physician, I hope to teach our residents how to manage an entire department from the critical patient in the resuscitation room to the potentially sick patient in the waiting room. I am also very interested in teaching procedural skills and making sure our graduates can handle anything that walks through the door.

Hobbies: Currently married plus 3 so outside of work main interests are family time and family activities. Going to the beach or traveling as well as school related functions. Love NBA basketball, motor sports, museums, classic arts and architecture.

About me: I grew up tinting windows for my father’s business. Then, after having a benign tumor removed during undergrad, I transitioned my goal to becoming a physician and ER was the only way for me. Fitness and exercise are also a huge part of my life and help to keep me sane during this crazy ride.

My husband and I couples matched, and he is an an Otolaryngology resident at the University of Florida. We have one cute little fur baby, Ollie, and love our time in Florida so far!

Hobbies: Travel. Reading-I love fiction romance novels. Baking, dog treats in particular. Spending time in the sun at the beach or the pool or wherever

About me: I’m a lover of all things outdoors, a Florida native, and Time magazine’s person of the year 2006. I’ll never turn down an invite to go fish or go to the beach. I was a first mate on a fishing charter for a bit during med school. I can talk for days about Lightning hockey, Bucs football, and the inevitable heartbreak associated with being a fan of both teams.

Academic Interests:  I am passionate about research—there is just so much out there that we still don’t know. My goal is to continuously learn and investigate new ideas. As a plus, it is always rewarding to see our work presented at conferences and published in journal articles. I hope to inspire and motivate more people to pursue research in EM!
 
About Me: I worked in a basic science research lab for several years after completing my undergraduate degree. I then completed an NIH-funded TL1 research fellowship during my medical school training, focusing on Lafora Disease in mice. Since then, I have shifted more towards clinical research and have had the privilege of publishing multiple peer-reviewed articles across various topics. I enjoy working with faculty and residents to help bring their ideas to fruition. 
 
Hobbies: I grew up by the beach, hence I love everything beach/ocean related such as boogie-boarding, jet-skiing and sun-bathing.  My other hobbies include going to the gym, snowboarding, and eating good sushi.
