Dedicated ultrasound training begins with a focused PGY-1 experience and continues with advanced scanning shifts during PGY-2 and PGY-3.
Ultrasound in Clinical Practice
POCUS is integrated into day-to-day emergency care. Faculty are credentialed in ultrasound, and residents learn to use bedside imaging to make real clinical decisions during shifts.
Push Into Advanced Applications
Advanced Ultrasound Track
Residents who want additional depth can pursue a longitudinal Advanced Ultrasound Track and certificate, whether preparing for fellowship or building advanced expertise for independent practice.
Advanced Applications
Training opportunities include regional anesthesia and nerve blocks, transvaginal ultrasound, transesophageal echocardiography, and advanced echocardiography.

Fellowship, Scholarship & Community
The program includes an EUFAC-accredited Advanced Ultrasound Fellowship, ongoing departmental ultrasound studies, conference participation and competition, and fellowship-trained alumni who remain part of the program's ultrasound community.
Equipment Across Training Sites
Ultrasound systems are available throughout the clinical and simulation environments, including three machines at the main site, one at each freestanding emergency department, two in the simulation lab, and Vscan devices available for resident use.
